Key Highlights
- Tri-interface, one module: Switch between SPI / I2C / UART via on-board DIP switch (configuration details in the operation manual).
- Open-source software: ESP32 Arduino library + examples for quick bring-up and development.
- Long read range (verified): Up to 9 cm with standard PVC white card under defined test conditions (see “Read Range”).
- Robust performance: Designed for demanding environments with strong anti-interference capability and stable reading performance.
- Low-power smart wake: Supports auto sleep and card-present wake-up (LPCD).
- SAM-ready expansion: Provides an interface for external Secure Access Module (SAM) integration (implementation depends on your SAM solution).
Typical Applications
- Access control / attendance terminals
- Industrial identification & readers
- IoT device integration
- Developer learning & prototyping
RF & Protocol Capability
Default IC: CLRC66303 (other variants available by customization).
Supported Standards (Chip Capability)
- ISO/IEC 14443 Type A (including MIFARE family)
- ISO/IEC 14443 Type B
- ISO/IEC 15693
- ISO/IEC 18000-3 Mode 3 (EPC Class-1 HF)
- ISO/IEC 18092 (NFC P2P passive initiator)
- FeliCa reader modes
Verified by Our ESP32 Arduino Library
- ISO14443A (tested)
- ISO15693 (tested)
Verified Read Range
Maximum measured: Up to 9 cm (PVC white card), card facing the antenna plane.
Test Conditions (for the 9 cm result)
- Card types: MIFARE One S70 and ISO15693 (UID reading)
- Orientation: Card aligned and facing the antenna (front side)
- Power: TVDD 5 V, VDD 3.3 V
- Environment: No ferrite, no metal nearby, no known interference sources
- Distance definition: Card-to-antenna-plane distance
Recommended Stable Operating Range
- Front side: approximately 2.5–8.5 cm stable
- Back side with ferrite: approximately 0–7 cm stable
Disclaimer: Read range depends heavily on card type, antenna size/tuning, power configuration,
and the surrounding environment (metal, ferrite, EMI sources, enclosure materials, etc.).
For production designs, validate performance in the real installation environment.
Low Power Features
- Supports low-power operation with standby modes
